Homecoming

This weekend is homecoming at Auburn,
and I spent the day there today at an advisory board meeting.
Driving home, I came to the simple realization:
Auburn is one of my favorite places on earth.

I Want My RFD-TV

The other weekend I was admiring this handy hay bale-lifter/thing-a-ma-jiggy at Lana’s farm and she told me our friend Debra gave it to her last Christmas. She said Debra found it on RFD-TV (Channel 345). Of course, Lana and Debra both have DIRECTV, which has this all-things-you-need-to-know-about-farming channel…while us poor Comcast suckers in the city have never even heard of it. So I told Mike this is further proof we must dump Comcast and go DIRECT. Because as you probably have surmised by now, when we’re at Our Green Acres we need all the help we can get. Check out www.rfdtv.com.

We obviously have not been paying attention. How is it that we missed the entire first season of The Fabulous Beekman Boysand that I just this week discovered Beekman 1802?(Thanks, Nonie!) Well, never mind all that. Check out the show on Planet Green or visit the boys’ website. Gotta go now. About to order goat milk soaps, and maybe some Beekman Blaak Cheese.
