One of the best parts of summertime is when our neighbor Barbara’s honey comes in. And this year’s batch – harvested from a wild hive they found and moved to their farm – is even better than the last!

Michelle’s horse Libbie (“Liberty Bell”), a 4-year-old Belgian-Thoroughbred cross, moved in today for the summer and everyone was so happy to see her!

What’s the top commercial fruit in Alabama? Peaches. And more than 2/3 of them are grown in Chilton County. And here at our little place in Calhoun County, we’re just trying to do our part. 🙂

One of the sweetest things we experience each summer is watching friends get over their fear of horses…or seeing that pure look of happiness on someone’s face when they take their very first ride. The latter happened just this week. Go Kim & Rodeo!
