1950’s Flashback: Here’s our “Papa,” Forrest C. Brooks, on his farm in Austell, Ga., with his favorite Palomino. Papa was one of seven boys raised on what is today known as Kolb Farm near Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park. Back in Jax for the weekend. You can tell the university is gearing up because we could hear the marching band practicing from our house last night. Plus I’m seeing cute college kids everywhere. And last night we saw thousands of stars. (Just one of the reasons why we like it out here.)
